God of War: Ghost of Sparta is an action-adventure game developed by Ready at Dawn and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). It was released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld console in November 2010. The game is the sixth installment in the God of War series and serves as a prequel to the original God of War game on the PlayStation 2.
Weapons and Magic in Ghost of Sparta
To take down enemies and bosses in Ghost of Sparta, you’ll need to master a deadly arsenal of weapons and magic.
- The Blades of Athena are your go-to weapon. These chained blades are fast, versatile, and ideal for combo attacks. Upgrade them to increase damage and unlock new moves.
- The Spear of Destiny allows you to attack from a distance. Throw it to impale enemies or use it in melee combat with quick jabs and spins. This weapon is key for crowd control.
- The Arms of Sparta are devastating gauntlets that increase your strength and allow bone-crushing grabs and punches. Pummel enemies into submission with these bad boys.

Normal and Hard Modes
For players familiar with the franchise, Normal and Hard modes offer a good challenge with stronger enemies and fewer resources. Hard mode in particular is not for the faint of heart – enemies can kill Kratos in just a few hits, so you’ll need lightning reflexes and strategic fighting skills to survive. But with greater difficulty comes greater reward and satisfaction when you finally defeat that troublesome boss!
The Challenge of the Gods
This special mode unlocks once you complete the game and contains a series of combat challenges to test your abilities.
