Information

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai 2, also known as Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai – Another Road, is a fighting video game developed by Dimps and published by Atari for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). It was released in North America on March 20, 2007, and in Europe on June 22, 2007. The game is the sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai and is based on the popular Dragon Ball Z anime and manga series.

Shin Budokai 2 features an all-new story mode called “Another Road,” which follows an alternate timeline where the villainous Majin Buu wreaks havoc in Future Trunks’ world. Players can choose from a roster of more than 20 characters, each with their unique moves and abilities.

How the Combat Works in Dragon Ball Z – Shin Budokai 2

So you’ve mastered the basics and you’re ready to start brawling. The combat in Dragon Ball Z – Shin Budokai 2 is fast-paced and intense, but understanding how it works will give you an edge.

To start, choose between the Simple and Normal control types. Simple is good for casual play, with basic controls and automatic combos. Normal gives you full control to pull off powerful combos and counters. I recommend starting with Simple until you get the hang of it.

On the battle screen, you’ll see your fighter on the left and your opponent on the right, with health bars for each at the top. Use the directional pad or left stick to move around, jump, and duck. The face buttons or right stick control your attacks – punch, kick, energy blast, and block.

Chain light and heavy attacks together for deadly combos. After a few hits, knock your opponent into the air and teleport above them to continue your assault. When your opponent is stunned, use a smash attack for massive damage. Be careful, as the CPU can also pull off devastating combos and counters.
